I'm writing from memory, having gone to this restaurant maybe 6 months ago.
I'm genuinely confused by the low reviews. Very good food, though a lot of the items were unfamiliar (Yunnan cuisine is apparently not well known in the West.) I'm not overly adventurous with food, so I ordered things that sounded somewhat close to what I'm used to. Foodies will be pleased by the variety and people from the region of the chefs may be pleased to see items they can't get anywhere else in London.
I got stir fried noodles with ground pork, handmade pork dumplings, green onion pancake, and golden/silver buns. The noodles and wontons were expertly prepared: well seasoned, not too oily, and not at all mushy. The wontons were very tender but not too pink (I know that leaving the pork pink is traditional for wontons, but it scares me a bit.)There was little, if any, detectable soy sauce, which is one of the things that makes this restaurant different from the other styles in London--the dishes relied much more on ginger and Chinese chives. They were very similar in flavour though, so get one or the other.
The green onion pancake was excellent: flaky, flavourful, and not greasy. The accompanying sauce was a nice sweet-salty complement. I scrambled to look up recipes when I got home because I loved it so much!
I was sad that their barbecue pork wasn't available that day, because I'm sure it would've been fabulous.
The prices look high at first compared to other Chinese restaurants, but the portions were MASSIVE--they're made to share, so keep that in mind when you order!
Service was friendly. No complaints. Decor was interesting--clean but friendly, not too intimidatingly fancy.
I loved my experience here and will absolutely return! -

I can't give you a review on the food yet because I arrived here at 5:58pm and they haven't delivered a single dish at 6:58 pm. Enough said.
It is 7:38 pm, we can finally eat! DO NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU WANNA KEEP YOUR GOOD MOOD. -

thats my fav restaurant in London, and they only open on Friday and weekends! I really like the spicy foods there!! There are some main dishes that I tried b4 and I do really really recommend it! If you can't eat spicy food, let's try Beef noodle with soup was really nice, the texture of beef was very soft, and serve within rich soup. Here is my fav one, spicy sour rice noodle soup, that's amazing. And I think the rice noodle here is even better than Toronto. The price is a little bit expensive than others Asian foods here, but it deserved. Btw, you might need to wait to food to be done about 1hr during the peak time, so get prepared some snacks b4 you visit.

A lot of exotic dishes. Some are overpriced for what they are. Their chicken and spicy potatoes are the best.

Food is ok. Not so good but unique enough. Service is bad and pay attention on your bill. The server will wants to charge you more and talk to boss in another version. Pay attention to that. Food is ok but also pay attention to food safety issue.
